The Hatfield Inn was a charming surprise nestled along our journey, offering cozy rooms with surprisingly comfortable beds for a restful night's sleep. The hospitable elderly couple managing the inn added a personal touch to our stay, making us feel welcome and at home. Conveniently located parking right outside the room made unloading luggage a breeze, while the nearby Smithsonian Chowder House provided a delightful dining option. Despite its quaint appearance, the free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TV in the rooms offered modern conveniences for a relaxing evening. This hidden gem provided excellent value for money, showcasing genuine hospitality and a peaceful atmosphere deserving of a detour along any traveler's route.
